Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson described his experience in an Ariel Atom as, The time of my life!? These remarkable cars are all built by hand in a tiny workshop in Somerset, and usually come with a hefty price tag. And as less than 100 are purchased each year, you?re about to enjoy a very exclusive driving experience indeed. The specifications of the Ariel Atom are very impressive: a 160 bhp 2-litre Honda iVTEC engine in a vehicle weighing only 456kg (that’s just over 1000lb!); a 5-speed gearbox, and the ability to go from 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds. The controls are simple enough for anyone familiar with standard road cars, but the Atom handles just like a single-seater, so it’s about as close to a genuine road-going racecar experience as you?re ever likely to get!

What happens on the day
You’ll arrive at Bruntingthorpe, one of the UK’s fastest and most exciting vehicle testing and motor sports venues, with over 4 miles of circuit. You’ll actually be driving on the site’s fantastic 2-mile, Indy? circuit, with sweeping bends and chicanes which give you the perfect opportunity to test the ability of this amazing vehicle. When you arrive at the site You’ll be directed to the signing-in cabin and introduced to your instructor, who will brief you on the vehicle and the circuit layout. You’ll be taken for familiarisation laps around the circuit in a course car, with the instructor driving. You’ll then be in the driving seat of the Atom yourself for three separate adrenaline-fuelled ten-minute sessions on the circuit. Finally You’ll be treated to a high-speed lap driven by your expert instructor, just to show you how it’s done!

You must hold a full, valid driver’s license, and bring both parts of this with you on the day.
If you have any disability or illness that may prevent you from taking part in the experience you must discuss this with the centre before booking. On arrival you will be asked to sign an indemnity stating that you are fit, healthy and responsible for your own driving. The experience may be terminated if the supplier believes a customer is driving dangerously or is under the influence of alcohol or other controlled substances.

Q: What does the experience pack look like?
A: The experience voucher and accompanying information are presented inside a smart silver wallet with a message card for you to add your own message. The accompanying documentation includes:
? A booklet detailing information about your experience and how to make your booking
? Insurance documentation (insurance is included free with most experiences, and covers the recipient for, 50,000 of Personal Accident insurance and Cancellation Indemnity, subject to terms)
? A feedback form, so you can tell us how you got on.
All gift packs are sent under plain cover. The pack is designed to fit through a standard letter box.
Q: How long will the pack take to be delivered?
A: If you order before 2pm, we will usually dispatch the vouchers on the same day for which we give a lead time of two days (but may take up to five working days, depending on the postal service). Orders placed after 2pm will usually be dispatched on the next working day.
Q: How long do I have to use the voucher?
A: The voucher is valid for 9 months and you must take your experience before it expires.
Q: Can I extend my voucher?
A: Yes, you can extend the voucher for another nine months for an administration charge of, 20.00. Please note that Options Vouchers or Gift Cheques cannot be extended and you will need to select your chosen experience before the Options Voucher expires.
Q: How do I book my experience?
A: We will provide you with the exact locations and contact information of our centres once you have purchased the experience voucher(s). For most of our experiences you will book directly with the centres.
Q: I need to send my voucher to the centre where I have made my booking. Should I send it by registered post?
A: Yes, we would always advise you to send all documentation to us or to the centres by registered or recorded delivery.
Q: Are there any restrictions on taking part in the experiences?
A: Some of our experiences (typically driving or flying experiences) have weight or height restrictions, which are usually dictated by the vehicle or aircraft in which the experience will take place. Others may have an age restriction for insurance or legal reasons. Some of our driving experiences may also require a full UK or EU driving license. The majority of our experiences require you to be in a reasonable state of health and fitness, some (such as Tandem Skydive, Parachute Jump and Scuba Diving) require more detailed medical information. If you are in any doubt about your ability to take part in any of our experiences, please contact the centre directly and check before making your booking. ?
Q: What if I am not happy with my experience?
A: If for any reason you are unhappy with any aspect of your experience, you should bring it to the attention of the supplier on the day so that they have the opportunity to resolve it immediately. If you are still unhappy, however, please write to us explaining the circumstances, and we will undertake to investigate it further for you.
